Body & Mind Sessions with Urban Ashram Yoga

During tough times, being physically fit is important to stay healthy but it’s equally necessary to keep your mind strong to survive. In our effort to help everyone be physically and mentally healthy, MetroDeal launched the Body & Mind Sessions with Urban Ashram Yoga. These sessions broadcast over Facebook Live on our official Metrodeal page every Saturday which launched last June 13, 2020 and will run until July 4, 2020.

Yoga ABC: Meditation and Movement

Facilitated by Urban Ashram Yoga’s Troy Bernardo, this first session of the series is about the foundations of a Yoga Practice aimed at helping participants in building mental stamina along with physical strength which will definitely prove beneficial in these trying times. Ideal for beginners who don’t have any yoga experience yet.

Music Flow Yoga

Teacher Shailoe Peredo guides everyone through movement and music in this second session. Observe her flow through meaningful sequences that sync your breath and movement along with soothing music. This session is filled with a wonderful combination of movement, breath work, and relaxation that even newbies can easily follow.

Kids Yoga

Introducing your kids to yoga early on is a great way to get them into a healthy lifestyle as they grow up. Watch Teacher Avic Papa as she leads this fun session that would definitely make the kiddos flow, dance, laugh, and play. Designed for children ages 3 to 12, the kids can easily get into the yoga habit meant to help them build their confidence and develop physical coordination.  

Barre

The next session would be facilitated by Carla Quevedo, scheduled to go live on our Facebook page on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Barre is a fitness workout that employs a combination of ballet, yoga, and pilates elements to tone muscles and sculpt your body by means of isometric movement. It may sound daunting but even those without yoga or barre experience can still join.
