- Sushi Maki
- Cook a half cup of short-grain Japanese rice
- Once cooked and cooled, divide this into three equal portions
- Place a nori sheet rough side up on a bamboo mat
- Put one portion of rice on the nori and distribute it in a flat layer, leaving a 5-centimeter gap on top
- Spread a thin strip of mayonnaise horizontally across the middle of the rice then line the crab sticks over it
- Using a firm grip, roll the bamboo mat halfway while making sure that it is pressed tight then continue rolling all the way
- Using a sharp knife moistened with water, trim both ends of the maki then make a cut right in the middle of the roll
- Cut each half further into three equal pieces then serve with pickled ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi on the side
